How to join PIWA

Membership is divided into the following groups.

• Sole proprietorships, corporations or partnerships that have a New York state excess lines license, and which are predominately engaged as wholesalers.

• Insurance, reinsurance or underwriting organizations principally engaged in writing insurance through wholesale brokers.

• Wholesalers without an excess lines license, reinsurance intermediaries or other entities that supply services to wholesale brokers or companies.
